Environmental Monitoring for Six Marinas in Island “A” at Deira Islands
Project Details
• At Deira Islands in Dubai, a series of four (4) interconnected reclaimed islands is being developed where APCC is supplying & installing six marinas. As part of the project Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) there was a requirement to conduct the environmental monitoring during the Project’s construction phase to ensure compliance with the environmental restrictions endorsed for the project.
• Our environmental specialists conducted this monitoring program by performing:
✓ Water Quality Analysis (In-situ on weekly basis and Ex-situ on monthly basis)
✓ Sediment Sampling for Macro Benthos monitoring (monthly basis)
✓ Marine Ecological Monitoring through DDC to monitor coral, sea-grass, fish counts, fish fauna, benthic fauna, etc. (monthly basis)
✓ Avifaunal Monitoring (monthly basis)
