Tridel provides a spatial database server capable of storing all data in one database repository and using a unique Feature Object Identifier (FOID) for each spatial geometry from vector maps and nautical charts. Based on ORACLE platform, Tridel spatial database imports and seamlessly integrates all geometric attributes by assigning a single FOID to each entity.
The database is based on RDBMS platform and provides long-term archiving and reporting. The data may be published using a web based application as well as through a custom build mobile application to read the products of maps or raster nautical charts type INT1/BSB or S57. The database structure is based on IHO theoretical data model for the geometry type Point, Line and Area (P, L, A). Parallel to the database structure we can add additional features which include metadata for products creation.
