Project Details

• The major objective of marine biodiversity baseline survey was to obtain comprehensive geospatially referenced information on current status of marine biodiversity in the EEZ of Dubai Emirate
• During the 01 year tenure of Project, data was collected for inter-and summer- seasons through land-based surveys as well as boat-based surveys.
• Data collected was analyzed and mapped for various features.
• Benthic habitat map was produced for entire EEZ of Dubai Emirate.
• This data was compiled into GIS based database and a web-based application was developed for visualization and analysis of the entire surveyed data, storage of secondary data records, maps, images, charts and produce the desired reports.
